The Graston® Technique is an effective treatment option for individuals experiencing pain and restricted range of motion following injury, repetitive stress, surgery, or poor posture.
This technique was developed in the mid-nineties by an avid runner with a lingering knee injury. Metal instruments are used to break up the adhesions and scar tissue in tight or injured areas causing a controlled inflammatory response. This response allows the body’s tissues to heal themselves, essentially hitting the reset button on areas that may have healed improperly, sometimes years in the past. This treatment coupled with chiropractic adjustments, stretching, strengthening, and postural recommendations leads to a flexible and pain free area.
Whether one has acute or chronic pain, myofascial restrictions respond quickly to Graston® therapy. Even in the most extreme cases, individuals experience a significant reduction in symptoms within 4-8 treatment sessions.
Some clinical diagnoses that respond well to the Graston® Technique include: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, IT Band Syndrome, Piriformis Syndrome, Low Back Pain, Neck and Shoulder Pain, Patellar Tendonitis, Ankle Sprain, Hamstring Strain, Tennis Elbow, Rotator Cuff Syndrome, Achilles Tendonitis, and Plantar Fasciitis. Graston® Technique can help loosen tight muscles, increase your range of motion and help heal old or new injuries, improving performance and quality of life.
This treatment is covered by most insurance companies, so call 541-728-0689 to schedule an appointment and ask how you can receive a free 30 minute Graston® treatment to try it out.

After months of unpacking, finding office space, trying to get around without my GPS and learning how to navigate the “round-a-bouts” here, I am pleased to announce that Total Body Chiropractic is finally open!

Services offered include chiropractic care with a focus on sports and family chiropractic, Graston Technique™, nutritional guidance and functional medicine. Relocating to Bend, Oregon after spending the past seventeen years in California has been an extraordinary experience. It truly has a small town feel with a community of people who really love living here. I have heard many stories from people who finally arrived in Bend after trying to move here for up to four years. Bend is a city of 87,000 people consisting of approximately 100 chiropractors, so I am excited to treat my share of 870 patients! It is a place where sustainable farming and organic gardening is part of the common vocabulary. It is a magical area filled with beautiful scenery and a wonderful climate. Bend offers activities ranging from going to the theater to skiing, cycling, running, hiking or kayaking down the Deschutes River. There is a cute downtown area with delicious restaurants and unique shops, as well as an incredible amphitheater that hosts top name musicians.
I am so blessed to have met so many nice, genuine and supportive people here. I finally feel as if I am home and I am very excited to start treating patients and become a part of this wonderful community.
